About us
There are three of us, each with more than twenty years of professional experience. We deliberately work with few clients — in return, we know their finance function as well as an in-house finance director would.
We founded ABITAS Partners Kft. in 2017, after years of working together in the outsourced financial management team of the Hungarian member firm of an international advisory network. There we provided full-scope bookkeeping, finance, accounting and tax services, mainly to clients in the energy sector — working as a single team. That way of working is what we brought with us into our own firm.
All three of us have over twenty years of experience in accounting and finance services, all of us are registered chartered accountants, and each of us also holds a tax advisor qualification. Before founding the firm we worked together for at least a decade in bookkeeping and accounting advisory roles.
As a small firm, our philosophy is to work with few clients but to maintain a close, trusted relationship with each of them. We aim to understand our clients' business model and their operational and strategic goals as thoroughly as possible, so we can support them across the whole finance and accounting spectrum. Every one of our current retained clients found us through previous joint work or a referral, and they operate in a wide range of industries: trade, agriculture, and pharmaceutical manufacturing and distribution.
We are convinced that numbers on their own are worth little. So wherever we hold the books, the management interpretation and the recommendation come with them — that is the more valuable half of the work. That conviction hasn't changed; what has changed is what we can do with it. AI-supported process automation has made a large part of bookkeeping faster and more accurate, so today we are glad to take on standalone bookkeeping and chief accountant engagements as well.
Despite our size we offer continuous availability: all three of us are involved in every client engagement in some form, so we can step in for one another when needed — and we make sure we are never all on holiday at the same time.
How we work
Few clients, deep relationships
Growing our client count is not the goal. We get to know the businesses we work with as well as an in-house finance director would — and in most cases that means a relationship lasting years.
The numbers come with an interpretation
For us a report doesn't end at the figures. If we hold the books, you also get the management interpretation and the recommendation alongside them — that is precisely why most of our clients came to us.
Someone can always step in
All three of us are involved in every client engagement in some form, so illness or holiday never brings the work to a halt. We also make sure we are never all away at the same time.
Built on quality
Our strategy rests on service quality: we work as experienced, continuously trained professionals, and we stay open to what's new — currently above all to the automation of financial processes.

Réka Märtel
Co-founder, Managing Director – outsourced financial leadership
Registered IFRS chartered accountant and tax advisor, holding a master's degree in Accounting from Corvinus University of Budapest. Between 2005 and 2016 she worked as an accounting project manager at the Hungarian member firm of an international advisory network, typically in outsourced CFO and project lead roles for clients in oil and gas, biotechnology and pharmaceuticals. Her main areas of expertise are the improvement and automation of financial processes and the implementation of ERP and BI systems. She lectures on IFRS financial statement analysis at the International Training Center for Bankers in Budapest.

Adrienn Konta-Blaskovics
Chief Accountant, Senior Accounting Advisor
Chief accountant and senior accounting advisor at ABITAS Partners since April 2023. IFRS chartered accountant, qualified through the training centre of the Chamber of Hungarian Auditors, with an earlier degree in accounting and taxation from Budapest Business School and a master's degree in auditing. She has worked in accounting for over twenty years: starting as an accountant, later leading an accounting team of six to eight people, then working as an accounting specialist and as a consultant specialising in finance systems. Her main areas of expertise are accounting advisory and the accounting support of restructurings and liquidations.
